AFC Liverpool v Runcorn Linnets, 17th October 2015
When I was travelling on the train to Liverpool, I heard of Howard Kendall's passing. It was a very slow train, frustratingly so, and I was accompanied by some Man Utd fans on route to Goodison. One guy who had issues, was thrown off the train at Halewood. The incident was thankfully not a football related issue. I eventually arrived in Crosby, and there was a minute's silence for Howard Kendall before kick off. We had the better of the first half, and missed some good chances, especially a Steve Jones volley which whistled over. They only had one chance of note, when they had a fella played in on the inside left position, but shot into the side netting. After the break it was a different story, as Runcorn pilled on the pressure and created some serious chances.
