AFC Liverpool v Litherland REMYCA, 19th October 2021
Speaking with Peter in the car before the game it was clear that this match was going to be crucial to our season. We were in 14th before the start of play on 18 points. Litherland were bottom with just a couple of victories. Those two victories had come following the recent managerial change that saw Colin McDonald replace ex-Reds boss Derek Goulding. However, Litherland had lost again at the weekend, a 5-0 loss at Wythenshawe Town. So would this prove to be a good time to play them? Either way it was a six pointer. After leaving the turnstile I had a brief chat with ex-AFC supporter Bill who had gone back to watch South Liverpool. Callum Schorah was then denied by the keeper.
