Due to pitch issues at Marine, this was the start of possibly 3 home games at Skem's JMO Park in a week. Marine had been planning to lay a 3g pitch.  Cost issues put pay to that apparently. The unusual setting meant the turnstile was located close to the halfway line.  That meant a first half setting up a temporary Rattlestation just outside the turnstile. On the pitch, Sonny Parr went into the book for a heavy challenge on the Avro number 9. I think it was probably because he had also had an earlier challenge on the same player. On the whole, the balance of play was fairly even. Then Jon Croasdale headed home from a corner. For the next 10 minutes, although we may have been a little lucky to be in front, we seemed to take control. There was no hint whatsoever of an Avro equaliser.
